My name is Amanda Tucker and I am the art teacher here at Granville Intermediate School. I teach art to grades 4, 5, and 6. I love creating, observing, and teaching art. I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Art Education degree. I carry a teaching license, pk-12, in the visual arts. I am working on my Masters in Art Education at OSU. I work in my art studio any chance I get, from oil painting to digital photography, I just enjoy creative expression. My teaching philosophy includes using the visual arts as a vehicle to learning. This is why my lesson and unit plans include integration where students make connections between their art studio to their other classes. From language arts to music and reading to literacy, our students will learn to investigate and create! I am from the small town of Ashville, Ohio and have lived in Columbus for the past 13 years. My family still owns a small farm in my hometown so I have experiences from both the city and the farm! I have the pleasure of working with your student in class and look forward to the rest of the school year!
Best- Amanda Tucker
