October feature: “Artists of the Month.”

October’s artists feature a variety of fall paintings from unique points of view. The 6th grade students painted birch trees from a worms eye view and created amazing tree bark textures using acrylic paint and recycled gift cards. The plastic cards were used like a palette knife to scrape paint across the paper. Another 6th grade project featured here is the 2 point perspective drawings where students designed and drew their fantasy tree house. Each student chose a theme and used 2 point perspective to add depth to their drawings with a cube tree house. The 5th grade features an island style landscape where students used abstract shapes as tree tops and focused on layering colors to create the deep, rich colors we currently see in our own environments this fall. I am so proud of the work they are doing so far this year! Enjoy!
